Guangdong Radio and Television University (hereinafter referred to as Guangdong TV University) was established in November 1978. The WLAN of Guangdong Radio and TV University is mainly used for wireless coverage of multimedia classrooms. The multimedia classrooms have the characteristics of small area and high density of wireless terminals. Using the traditional fat AP deployment scheme, the interference between the APs and the unbalanced access of the terminals are prone to occur. Scheme Description

The solution recommends using the NETGEAR WFS709TP as the core of the wireless network to manage all thin APs. All thin APs are connected to the WFS709TP through the 802.3af standard POE power supply protocol under the premise of ensuring the wireless coverage area, which saves the deployment of power lines. The NETGEAR WFS709TP provides continuous wireless coverage with IntelliFi RF management. IntelliFi RF management automatically configures all radio parameters including transmit power level, channel, load balance, and interference avoidance. For low-latency applications such as VoIP, the NETGEAR ProSafe Wireless Controller provides call admission control support for wirelessly transmitted VoIP, voice-aware fast roaming, and strict over-the-air QoS to ensure mobile voice performance. Using sophisticated RF planning tools, administrators can enter the floor plan, number of floors, building dimensions, coverage required, and fault tolerance overlap. The planning tool calculates the RF characteristics of building predictions, determines the ideal location of the AP, and displays the predicted coverage.
